Frequently Asked Questions

1. Please ensure you wear shoes with a soft sole such as trainers or running shoes. This is to protect the surface of the Arena.

2. The Arena has a dedicated pay and display car park with over 200 parking spaces and costs £6 per vehicle all day. The Arena has ample parking for disabled visitors.There is a drop off point just outside the Arena entrance. We will have dedicated volunteers to meet everyone upon arrival.

3. Once registered, you will be given a lanyard listing times for all events you have entered plus an official ABI Games cap, T-shirt, commemorative medal, goody bag and certificate for participating.

4. On the day, you will find a large number of friendly ABI Games volunteers and staff who will offer assistance, they will be identifiable with baseball caps and lanyards.

5. Certain items will not be allowed into the Arena. These items include but are not limited to:
• Hot food (this can be purchased in the cafe on the first floor)
• All drinks (water is available on the day and drinks can be purchased in the cafe on the first floor)

6. A certain amount of food may be taken if required for medical purposes.

7. The Arena has vending machines selling hot, cold drinks and snacks. There will be a cafe on the first floor. Food at a reasonable rate has been arranged for participants. Please note that any payments must be made by card, as cash is not accepted.

8. The Arena is designed to be accessible by all and as such, all areas of the venue are accessible to wheelchair users and those with visual or hearing impairments. Rest rooms, toilets and a quiet room will be located on the ground floor and clearly signposted throughout the building.

9. Should you decide you would like to participate in other events, there will be a late entry desk open at reception. We recognise you may be uncertain as to whether you wish to take part in a new event, but we will be very flexible and do whatever we can to help you participate.

10. There will be a photographer and videographer recording the event for publicity and promotional purposes. You will be asked to sign a GDPR and privacy statement upon registration. A selection of photographs will be available to view on our website.

11. If you engage in the ABI Games, you agree that you do so at your own risk, that you are voluntarily participating in these events, that you assume all risk of injury to yourself, and agree to release and discharge Headway Worcestershire and the University of Worcester Arena from any and all claims or causes of action, known or unknown.
